Recall a time when you felt what you'd call "the spirit of the holidays."
A specific moment isn't coming to mind. I guess the "spritit of the holidays" is showing forgivness, compassion, open arms, a kind heart, a gentle hand to those around us. To not only our family and friends, but to everyone. A stranger we meet in a crowded shopping center, our neighbors, the person who has hurt us some way, the people we have hurt during the year. In the spirit of the holidays, we need to move past all the things that are holding us back and move forward.
"I heard the bells on Christmas Day. Their old, familiar carols play.
And wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on Earth, good-will to men."
-Longfellow
