Aunt Janelle and Uncle Jeff live in Houston now because of Jeff's job as a Staple's district manager. He is "on call" on Black Friday so they aren't able to travel during Thanksgiving. This was our second year in a row to head south and I think this year was MORE fun than last. Mostly because the kids are getting a little older and more self- sufficient, which meant it was just more relaxing for the adults.
Okay, so we played a little too!
What I love most about being there is how nice the weather always is...not too hot, not too cold! The kids were able to spend a TON of time outdoors! They have a really kid friendly backyard with things like a trampoline, tree fort, sand box, swings, four-wheeler and track. Plus their housing addition has a couple of nice ponds for fishing. I think we managed to do all of that during the 2 and a half days we were there.
It was a GREAT visit! Janelle and I even managed to get in a little Black Friday shopping and get a little Christmas shopping done. Plus, later that day we took Preston, Jace and Cambree to the LEGO store. We had never been to one of those, but it was clearly a 9 year old boys heaven on earth! Only having a limited amount of money to spend was very painful!
THANK you Wensler's for allowing us to come and visit! We are really looking forward to seeing you again at Christmas!

I am soooo thankful you guys came!! We had an absolute blast and Jace cried his eyes out when you guys left. I just pray one day the good Lord will take us back closer because we love you guys and miss you bunches!!
