5. Do you hang mistletoe?
No.
{Not a very good question today....so let's do another one}
What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
Okay, this is better! I don't know if I can choose just one...I love ALL Christmas music!! Matter of fact, this year I bought 2 new albums and started listening to the music before Thanksgiving...I know, I know.
My favorite is probably Silent Night, Holy Night. It probably didn't become my favorite until after I became a mother myself. Now each time I hear it I think of those first Silent Nights after I had each of my kids and I ponder what Mary must have thought and felt on that Silent Night in the stable. She knew her baby was special, but did she worry or ponder what would become of him as he grew up? Was the night cold and windy or was it calm and warm? Did Joseph fall asleep next to her while she lay awake with her baby nuzzled next to her? Did the Inn keeper come out to check on them? Was she asking God why, of all places, did he choose for His son to be born in a stable, with only a manger for a bed? Hmmmmmm........

No mistletoe at our house...
I'm with you on Silent Night! But "O' Holy Night" may be my very favorite.
No mistletoe!
Silent Night also gets my vote! Christmas Eve, the end of the church service, candlelight ~ I'm getting misty eyed just typing this! Also, when my oldest was a baby, I could sing Silent Night softly to calm him.
Traci
Silent night too is my favorite....I told the girls at the bank years ago that I wanted it sang at my funeral...not matter what time of year my time is up...they thought I was C R A Z Y!!!!...O HOLY NIGHT when Melanie Thompson sings it...touches me deep in my soul...then I like The LITTLE DRUMMER boy....and jingle bells...and up on the HOUSE top....oh heck I like them all too...When children sing AWAY IN MANGER...I cry then...
No on the mistletoe!
My favorite Christmas song...the one that always get me choked up is Christmas Shoes by Bob Carlisle. Non-traditional but I love the lyrics!
O HOLY NIGHT for this girl. .and reading Robins comment made me laugh!! Susan Carlisle told me a few weeks ago, that she wanted me to sing that at her funeral too. .no matter when it was!! Too funny!!
