Stockings ~ what goes in them at your house?
First and foremost you get socks and undies at our house!!
Candy, usually chocolate of some sort and some type of candy in a plastic candy cane...but it varies from year to year.
Something crafty...crayons, markers, notebooks, etc.
Movie...usually an old one that they can't believe Jeremy and I used to watch as kids!
For girls, nail polishes, hair things...any other girly things that Santa and his elves think would be fun.
For boys, army men, cars/trucks...other boy things Santa and his elves think would be fun.
For dad...he's not EVER impressed, so he gets a giant candy bar.
For mom...whatever Mrs. Claus thinks she would like ;)

Anything and everything that will fit inside! Little things that are hard to wrap...
Lots and lots of candy!! Now that they are older, usually something funny..last year it was bacon flavored chap stick.
Best stocking gift according to Tom was tiny LED flashlight thaat he wore out carrying in his pants pocket. Had to replace it. It has become a NEEDED item in his pocket. It was THE best stocking stuffer for hubby. So chocolate BIG bars & a new flashlight must go in his stocking this year.
I don't actually PUT anything IN the stocking itself...they are too fragile..sentimental ...and hand made...so they are displayed only...so my 'stockings'..are full of stuff...they can add up in $$$$ ..so a LONG time ago..I started shopping all year long for stocking stuffers....little kleenex, chapstick, hairbrushes, kitchen scrubbies, little tools, HUGE candy bars, gloves, hats, rubber gloves, sticky notes, band-aids, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, kitchen spatulas, foil sheets ( YES ) , the list goes on....the best was a HUGE box of pop-tarts and then the dog ate one that was open....laughter and tears...I love buying stuff for stockings....
Books, movies, candy, socks and underwear!
