For the second year I decided to host a Cookie Exchange among my friends. Just like last year...it was delicious and FUN!
{If you haven't noticed, a LOT of our life revolves around activities centered around food. HAHA}
Here's the whole clan...the taste testers and the cooks:
and I couldn't resist adding this picture of just the kids...check out some of these face!
One of the fun things we did was give everyone an elf name as they arrived. You used your first name, last name and the month you were born in. We got some really funny names and we all had lots of laughs! Miss Bryton even got in on the action :)
We did sugar cookie decorating
and eating
Then before everyone left we made Reindeer Food...which was TONS of fun, but also very messy!
We each took a box, a tray or a baking pan and filled it up with each kind of goody! Then we could take them home and share them with our hubbies...but I'm thinking next year we make it a rule that if they don't come they don't get cookies :)
Jeremy loves the sampling portion and picking out which one is his favorite.
If you want to check out all the cookies, here's a link to view them all. I have all the recipes and plan to start a cookbook/scrapbook for every year. So, if you see one you're just itching to try let me know and I'll get you the recipe.
This is a great way to start the holiday season off right and a great way to celebrate with friends! I think it's going to be a long standing tradition.
