Sugar Momma!

I am a sugar Momma! Cambree says so...she just asked me if I could do something (don't remember what it was) but I replied that No I could not...she retorted with, "Yes you can Sugar Momma! Maybe she thought adding "sugar" would make it so! Gotta love this girl of mine!

We are all anxious for this nice weather to hang around a little longer. Preston and I walked to the bus today and Cambree and I will walk home after work. Yesterday afternoon the whole fam got busy cleaning out leaves from the flower beds...in anticipation of green things growing. While cleaning we did discover some purple flowers that are blooming! Yeah spring!

Baby Update ~ 14 weeks

I had a check-up last Friday and everything was good. In fact, Dr. Canatta said, "Keep up the good work; see you in a month!" It's a little bit irritating that a 5 minute "chat" can cost SOOOO much $$$! All I can say is Thank Goodness for Insurance! The other good news is that he went ahead and ordered my sonogram. But being the cheapskates that we are, we are just waiting until the 20th (my next visit with Dr. Canatta) to have it done. Plus the kids will be on spring break and no one will have to miss school to go. Oh yes, we are ALL going....and the kids are very excited, except a month is a long time to have to wait! They can't wait to find out whether it is a brother or sister and if I am honest, I am anxious to find out myself. At first I didn't think I wanted to find out because I know this is going to be our last one and there is something very special about having the dr. announce, "It's a boy!" as was the case with Preston. However, I am thinking that it will be good for the kids to get used to what they are having and we can call the baby him or her, he 0r she! Plus if it is a girl, Jeremy and I will need plenty of time to agree on a name! However, a boys name has already been decided....don't kid yourself though, you won't get to find that out until the baby is born! Life is Good!

More birthday preparations going on this week! In fact, Cambree got her first card in the mail yesterday. Check out what she said to the right in The Things My Children Say section! She carried that card around all day and protected it like it was made of gold. I finally had to get her to let me take a picture of her and the card.

The front says "Little Lady" and the inside says "You're the queen of cute! Happy Birthday!" Could there be a more perfect card for little miss? I think not!

Where to put the baby?

When someone approaches me about being pregnant again, almost always they ask, "Where are you going to put the baby?" Now, the hormonal, pregnant woman in me wants to reply, "Well our outbuilding has electricity and we just thought we would put a space heater out there and there will be plenty of room among the dog food and Christmas decorations!" Then the semi-hormonal, almost normal self would like to remind those living in Coldwater that the family who lived here before us had 6, yes that's right, 6 people and only ONE bathroom....somehow they managed and I figure we will too. Now, the radiantly happy, anal attentive mother that I am, loses more sleep over this question than one reasonably should. Someone will obviously have to share a bedroom and it scares the daylights out of me to think that Cambree could be the one to share. Don't get me wrong she is going to be the BEST big sister this world has ever seen, but she could just be a little too much help at times. She already wakes up Preston every morning if he isn't already awake. How in the world will I convince her to let her baby sister sleep, even though, "it's morging!" Preston on the other hand is old enough to be scared of me....he would let the baby sleep. He would also be less disturbed by anything that might go on during the night. He could easily go back to sleep, where Cambree would think she needed to help, no doubt. So to satisfy EVERYONE's curiosity....a boy will go in P's room and a girl will go in C's room. Just so there is no further concern here..I will post pics of the kids rooms and tell you just how big they are! Cambree's room measures about 15x15...notice the nice PINK glow from the curtains! It's the strangest thing! And, Megan, notice that I had to alter them....the curtain rod showing was making me bonkers! They didn't even last one evening before I broke out the sewing machine and "fixed" them! :) And yes, that's camouflage on CJ's bed...it's what she wanted!

Preston has the largest room in the house measuring 16x16!

I think we will find someway to manage around here! Plus we have two bathrooms now...not quite as much sharing. Now, would people please stop reminding me that I have to find a place for this new little one....and all the "STUFF" that goes with it! Thank you!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now on a lighter note....birthday preparations are in full swing around here! Party countdown is on and let me just officially say that the 3rd birthday is the BEST! Look for more over the weekend and next week!

Whistlin' Dixie

All I have heard around our house for the last week is Mr. P practicing his whistling technique! I asked him to practice for me this morning so I could get it on film and of course I didn't get the natural look I was going for. Oh well, at least I tried and he is in fact getting better everyday!

Good intentions

I had really good intentions of posting these photos on Valentine's Day, but I was just too busy with the kids and by the time evening rolled around Preston was sick, so we all just vegged out in the recliners.
(On a side note, let me take this moment to say that I HATE the fact that blogger posts your photos in reverse order!!!!! ARGH! So this story is backwards from how I originally wanted to tell it!)

These are the flowers that Jeremy suprised me with Saturday morning. He just walked out of the house and I thought to myself that it was really strange that he left without telling anyone good-bye. Very rarely does he leave the house without saying bye to me and "See ya later, Joses!" to the kids. SO I sat there thinking "What in the world is he mad about?" Then before I could come up with an answer, he walked back in carrying this flower arrangement. I was shocked and the kids just went nuts. They loved the flowers and so did I, but we all loved them a little bit more when Jeremy told us what they meant. The red roses are for the boys, the pink ones are for the girls and the yellow one is for our baby! This was super cool to the kids and they even told the librarian all about it when she asked if they were having a good valentine's day! SO I give Jeremy all the credit this year! I didn't expect anything and I sure was suprised to see that he put so much though into it....and it might be a sign that he is coming to terms with our new addition!

These next pictures are of Cambree wearing her new princess apron that her momma made! Yep, we cranked that baby out Saturday afternoon and she loved it so much that she wore it to Pizza Dave's later that evening. It was supposed to be for her birthday, but I ended up having to measure her to see where to put the straps and how long to make them and of course there was no convincing her that this apron belonged to someone else (like I have done with all the other things she has managed to find....she is much too much like her mother! ARGH!) She is adorable in it and now she has something to wear while she helps me in the kitchen, since I can't remember a time when she hasn't been right there with me learning to cook!

Why a random pic of Jeremy? Well this was after Preston got home from school and the Valentine's Party and Jeremy was telling him a story about when he was little and got in trouble of the bus on Valentine's Day because of a girl! Now, mind you that the story continued and it was actually Jeremy who got himself into trouble....he caught a miller and put it down the shirt of the girl in the seat in front of him. He admitted that he liked her and that's why he did it! Such a CHARMER he is!
Preston checking out all the loot from school. He was mostly happy about his valentine's, but he did give the Tinkerbell one to Cambree because he thought she would like it a lot more that he did. I was actually quite suprised at the lack of candy there was this year. Must be the economy, but we had a pencil, some tatoos and stickers (which Preston is not impressed with) and a few suckers. One piece of good chocolate (Snickers) from Mrs. Hoffman that he shared with his dad!
As I was looking at this picture I just now noticed Cambree Jane's had at the corner of the table. She must have been sneaking in to see what she could get away with! It must have worked, because I don't remember any hollering and I definitely don't remember her being there when I took the photo! I told you she was sneaky! Too funny, I love it!

Hope you all had a great day with your sweethearts!

New blog address

Of course, sohappytogether was already taken, so I went with sohappytogetherforever, and that worked! YEAH No more Sara's Crap Life! I have been haunted by this ever since I started blogging, but no more blog nightmares! Preston is almost home from school and today was Valentine Party day. So excited to see what he brought home and what he has to say about this day of "LOVE"!

So Happy Together!

For quite some time I have been irritated by my lack of creativity regarding my blog title. I am not all that good with words and have been trying to come up with something clever. Today I decided I was going to change the look of my blog a little and wanted to change my header. While browsing the images on my computer I came across the So Happy Together and I just knew that was what I had been looking for. I haven't tried to change my blog address yet, but be looking for a notice of that soon. I am sure this clever address is already taken, but hopefully not! Anyways, the search and up at night thinking of titles can finally cease!

Wonder Hangers

This morning as Jeremy was getting ready for work, he asked me if I had ironed his blue shirt yet. The answer was no, because I refuse to drag everything out for one shirt. Preston was snuggling with me and he very seriously said, "Mom, you need to get some wonder hangers." I had never heard of these, so I asked him what they do. He told me that they helped you find your stuff and keeps your clothes from getting wrinkles. And you get one set free, but he forgot how much it costs. And your bonus is 4 free lights! I was cracking up, because I have never seen this particular infomercial, yet he knew almost all the details. I told Jeremy that we have the informercial king!

In other news, today is my father-in-laws birthday! I can't recall how many this is, but I am sure it is a bunch! I don't have many pics of the old man to post. Anyways, Happy Birthday Rodney!

Great laughs!

Okay, first of all if you haven't taken the time ever to read the comments on my blog, you really should. Occasionally my brother leaves a comment and they always make me laugh out loud and I go back and read them again and again. Here's the comment from my last post

"Russ said...
ok now you're showing off. i'm sure there was a conversation that went something like this:

Robin: Sara, I really dont think my crazy son will ever plant his feet and get a ball and chai... i mean wife and kids, so i think you should consider having a few more

Sara: You're right, lets give up on him. Consider me pregnant tomorrow!

But the joke is on you because its WAAAAY cheaper to be Fun Uncle Russ than Papa Russ. I'm super excited:)

And I guess I'll stay in the country to see this thing happen. Well not actually SEE it happen but be around when it does. That would be gross..."

I might just have to print this out and save it for the baby....just so there is no confusion about who the funny one in the family is!

So now I need to tell you and show you about Walking with Dinosaurs! It was AMAZING! It was so much fun to have a "Mystery Adventure" for the kids. Preston was so excited the whole time and when he got up Saturday morning, he said, "Mom, it's our mystery adventure day! Are you excited?" How could I not be excited about our day! I knew it was going to be a great memory for all of us!

I finally told Preston where we were going when we stopped to eat lunch, at where else, McDonalds! He couldn't believe we were going to see Walking with Dinosaurs Live! He had all kinds of questions as well an information that Jeremy and I might have needed to know about Walking with Dinosaurs. (If you don't know, Preston got the movie for his b-day, best $15 ever spent at our house!)

The show was really incredible. The dinosaurs looked real, acted real, sounded real...it was like going back in time millions of years. There was a palentologist who was our guide through the show and told us all sorts of things about the dinosaurs and about the earth during the time they lived. They went through all three periods that they dinosaurs lived and showed various dinosaurs during each scene. The pictures aren't going to do it justice I am afraid. Preston talked non-stop through the entire thing and I was thankful that we were on the front row of the balcony and we weren't disturbing anyone. The other cool thing about our seats was that they were right above the dino controllers and we could watch them move the dinosaurs and it was incredible the way the whole show came together from such a distance. There are a couple of shots that show the palentologist and the dinosaurs and you can see the relative size of these beasts! There are 53 pics on my flicker site, so I am going to post just a few if you don't want to go there and look at them all.

I am thinking that we will have to start taking at least one mystery trip every year....it was so much fun for all of us!
